Maddie's class party

I spent more time at Maddie's class party than Grace's because it was earlier in the day...for Grace's party I watched the parade and had to go home and put the kids to bed, but she understood and was very sweet about it! These pics are of Maddie and Faith during Maddie's party...Faith had fun too (especially helping me run the rice table!). What a fun time!

Party Time!

1. Maddie in her Preschool class...listening intently to and participating in a Halloween story acted out by her teacher.

2. Grace's teacher Mrs. Francis reading a story to the kids before the big parade. Maddie got to sit next to Grace.

3. Love this pic of my girls in costume!!

More of Halloween

Here are the girls during the schools annual Halloween parade of costumes. I assumed they just walked around the school for all the parents to see, but what a big to do!! The whole school walks outside, down the block to the main street of town, around another block, through a neighborhood nearby and then back to school! I wish I would've known for two reasons...one, I would've just picked a spot to stand like all the other parents and waited for them to walk by and two, I would've put them in warmer clothers underneath...it was freezing! I didn't mind walking the parade with their class, but it was rather hard to push Faith in the stroller, while trying to keep up the pace of the kids and occasionally running ahead so I could actually get a picture of them walking towards me and not a rear view from behind! :) They had fun anyways and it was a special event...especially considering the elaborate get-up they sported...thanks to Nana Heidi and Aunt Cindy!

The next pic is of Grace in her class holding up her pumpkin placemat she made! The one after that is one of the only pics I have from the day of Faith with her Kitty head on...it was rare she would pull it on her head and so I had to snap pics when possible! What a cutie!

Carving the Family Pumpkin

We have a huge family pumkin this year thanks to mom and dad Turner...we acutally ended up stealing both their pumkins last time Quinn was down in Cols. They said we could have one to take home and he put one in the car not knowing my dad had already put the other one in the car for him. So we ended up stealing both their pumpkins!! This was a beauty to carve and so easy to get the guts out...thanks guys! The girls had a blast!! Here are a few pre-carving pics of our beauties and then one of me and my girls!

Scooping the Guts!

This is Faith first year to help with the pumpkin and we could hardly get her to reach her hand down in there! Once she felt the guts, that was enough for her! Lol! Enjoy these cute pics!

A finished work of art!

Quinn popped his wireless flash in the pumpkin to create this cool effect and allow you to see the result of everybody's hard work (even though you can see the flash through his nose!).

The BIG News!!!

Well, for the biggest news to hit our house this last month...it is official and we are having a baby BOY!!!!! I was so sure it was another girl...we are very pleasantly surprised and very much excited! I really didn't think we knew how to make a boy :) I am sure he will be spoiled with three big sisters to baby him. The girls are so excited they can hardly wait. They've already shared what names they like best for their brother...we'll have to see about that because we haven't decided on anything yet! As with all ultrasound pics, he kind of looks like an alien (it certainly feels like an alien has invaded my body!). Everything looked good and we were even told that I am about 10 days further along than they thought! That's great because even though they won't move my due date of March 1st...because I am always late in delivering...I could actually have a baby that come close to my due date! Or maybe even a day or two early!! The time is flying by and the pregnancy is going fairly well. I still get sick a few times a week and have never gotten my energy back like the other three...just resigned that to the fact that now I chase after the other three all day and that's why I am always tired. I know this baby will be here before we know it and we are so thankful to the Lord for this blessing He has given us.

Grace turns 6!

We had a family birthday party to celebrate Grace's birthday and Aunt Harmony's birthday. Unfortunately, Maddie got sick with a fever and didn't get to join in the festivities...much to her disappointment. Quinn stayed home with her while I went for the dinner and then I came home so he could go for the cake and presents. Grace picked out all the colors for the cake while I was making the icing and told me exactly what to put on the cake and that she'd like a rainbow against a blue sky. She knows what she likes! Growing up so fast...I know I say it a lot, but it's so very true...

Grace's field trip to Post Family Farms

Last month Grace's Kindergarten class went to Post Family Farms for their field trip. It was a beautiful day and I was blessed to have someone watching Madison and Faith so Grace and I could go alone. We had so much fun...they do a GREAT job there! From playing in the hay bales to petting the animals (including a cute floppy earred bunny and a baby chick), to enjoying a hayride with a stop in the pumpkin patch to pick our own pumpkin, we had a great time. Post Family Farms isn't too far away from Quinn's work either, so it was a special treat for him to come join us just as we were starting our hayride and of course, in time for the donuts and cider at the end!! Lol! Seriously, those donuts are so good we just had to take a dozen home and Quinn would've been in trouble had he not taken any back to work for the guys! The class also participated in acting out a mini-play about how the pumpkin seeds get fertilized to grow into pumpkins. Grace was a flower and it was really cute - the whole class enjoyed it! Before we left, we ate our sack lunches in the garden and the last picture is of Grace and her friends Reese, Leah and Alyssa posing by the flowers!
