Frederick Meijer Gardens

In April, at the beginning of Spring Break, we went to Frederick Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park here in Grand Rapids. We went with Nana Nita and our cousin Chloe and had so much fun! The main thing we saw was the butterfly exhibit. If you wear bright colors sometimes the butterflies will land on you! We didn't have very much luck with that this time, but it was neat to see them all flying around inside the conservatory. Jack started getting a little restless when all the girls had decided they wanted to walk through the butterflies one more time, so he and I went outside to the children's park to play. It was a little chilly and windy, but being a boy, he didn't care and just wanted to run and get some of his never-ending energy out! Thanks for a super fun time Nana!

Hello friends and family!!!

It has taken, hmmm...let's see...over two years, but I think I am ready to blog again! If anything, for the sake of journaling, sharing tidbits of everyday life with our family and friends and posting pics for those far away!! Like the header? I made it myself...not anything close to spectacular, but it was a fun learning experience and maybe sometime down the line I can update with new pics. The funny thing is, I don't really have time to sit and write anything today! I've spent it all trying to create this header for the blog! Quinn should be walking in the door anytime, nothing looks like it was accomplished today and dinner is nowhere near started...typical day!! lol. When I have time I will try and sit down and chat a bit about where our life is right now. For now, have a wonderful rest of your day!

Love, Sam
