Determination
Faith has started crawling - more like dragging herself across the room by her arms and pushing with her feet. She's not quite up on her hands and knees, but still quite fast at what she does! I took this about a month ago and I just liked this shot. The look on her face is sweet. She's growing up fast!
Snuggling with Nana & Poppa
The girls love to get in my parents' big King size bed and snuggle. I decided to grab my camera and snap some pics because they all looked so cute - even though dad was fading fast! The pics were a little overexposed because I shot them in the dark and the flash compensated by coming on full force, but in black and white they turned out decent and I think they are really cute!!
Heidi - "Love me, love my cats!"
Two peas in a pod
Maddie is so taken with her Poppa Wes - she talks about him all the time at home and sticks to him like glue when we visit Ohio. I must say that my dad is such a great grandpa! He loves to play with the kids - whether it's hide and go seek (one of their favorites) or playdoh or walking in the woods looking for Pooh's house or coloring or just dancing to records in the living room and having a blast - they LOVE it! Here's Maddie and Poppa coloring and conversing...

Columbus Part III - see below for parts I & II
Yes, Faith was there too, although you wouldn't know it since this is the only picture we took of her the whole weekend! Love that precious face! I don't think she liked Poppa's hat!Two brothers - Quinn and Matthew. Love them!
Maddie, Grandpa, Grace and Quinn - haven't taken many pics of Grandpa in a while. With the condition his health is in I'm glad we got one of him and the girls. I love the way he's looking at Mads. He seems quite taken with her everytime we visit and mom says he talks about her a lot. She's a crackup that's for sure!
Grandpa and I - I think the last time we took a pic together of just us was hmmmm.....never?
Weekend in Columbus Part II
Pics as follows...Mom, Cindy and Kelli
Roy and Cindy with girls - something was not right with the flash when I took this (sorry about the dark auroa around you Uncle Roy!), but in spite of that, what a cute Pic! The girls LOVE you guys sooo much!!!
Welcome to...coloring with Kelli and Grace
Tab and Matthew - so in love!! And such a handsome couple!!
Our surprise trip to Columbus!
A week or two before Thanksgiving, we made a quick weekend trip to Columbus. We wanted to surprise my Dad, who put a lot of work and effort into planning a Veteran's Day USO show for his church and the community. The show was a huge hit and we were so glad to be a part of it. Quinn always says how much he loves coming to Columbus to visit because it is always so nice to get away. And mom does a great job of making it warm and inviting for everybody! We had a great time - even though our trips to and from Columbus were completely different complicated matters in themselves. (I'll post about them soon!)Anyway, on Saturday morning we enjoyed muching on 3 dozen doughnuts from Schneider's Bakery - the best Davy Crocketts on the planet! Along with a big fruit salad (to ward off the guilt of the doughnuts) and coffee and juice. Aunt Cindy, Uncle Roy, Jason and Kelli Berner and Matt & Tab came, but where in the world was Thor McIntosh? Hee Hee! We missed you Jason and were sorry you couldn't join us! I've said it before, but I love my family and I wouldn't trade them for anything - even if we are a little crazy in our own right! The girls always love seeing Uncle Roy and Aunt Cindy - and they talk of Kel-Kel all the time at home!
In order of pics -
Tab and Myself - do we even look anything alike anymore? Where did I come from? Why didn't I get the Aunt Cissy/Cindy/Kelli skinny genes, huh? Instead I got the big, boned Virginia Hennacy genes, not to mention the Turner genes (larger women) - Lucky me :)! Isn't Tab beautiful? I'm so proud!
Aunt Cindy played dollhouse with Maddie and she loved it! Maddie, that is. What a great great Aunt!
Kelli and Aunt Heidi - love this picture (even with the shadows in the background)
I love these guys - Quinn, Matt (always serious - can't you tell? :), Berner and Uncle Roy (still missing you Jason!)
My Hubby the Photographer...
Late this past summer, Quinn and I wanted to get some good pictures of the girls (seeing as how he's getting more into photography and we have absolutely zero recent nice pics of them!). I think they turner out great - you be the judge! For a while we didn't show anyone because we were going to get good copies made and give them to our families - besides wallets, that has yet to happen. Seems typical of us, huh? What can I say except life gets in the way - which brings me to tonight. I realized that I never got to post them on the blog and so here they are! We couldn't get a good one of Faith, but I thought this one of her and Pooh are adorable! (And he even got a good one of me - which is rare these days) I love my girls and I know Daddy is so proud!!
Post Family Farm Field Trip
Back in October, I got to accompany Grace's Kindergarten class to visit Post Family Farm. My mother-in-law watched the younger girls and it was so much fun for me to go with Grace. The only problem was that it was so unexpectedly cold - way colder than the half hour East of there where we live! I don't get the mother of the year award for that one - I sent her to school with no hat or gloves - instead I made her pull her shirt sleeves down out of her coat and grip them with her fingers to keep them somewhat shielded from the elements. I mean it was COLD people!! I froze my tush off! Despite the weather, we had a great time - it always makes me thankful when I get to do those things because I know there are lots of moms and dads who don't get to or don't take the time to share in special days like those. I love my girl and am so proud of her. We got to see all kinds of animals, go on a hayride (through thick mud - I didn't think we were going to make it!), pick out pie pumpkins and then sample fresh doughnuts and cider before leaving for school. Oh my goodness - they were the BEST PUMPKIN SPICE DOUGHNUTS I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!! AND THE CIDER ROCKED! I bought a dozen doughnuts and needless to say they didn't last long!
My Punkin in the Pumpkin Patch!
Grace and one of her best friends Kaitlyn - who interestingly is the daughter of Quinn's best friend since middle school. We think it's great and very neat that they go to the same school and are in the same class!
Mrs. H's Kindergarten class!
